Zoe: I've been at Genentech for about six and a half years, and I met Andre my first week at Genentech. We became really good friends, and I think we complement each other in so many ways. I rely on Andre to pressure test my ideas.
Andre: I’m the sales manager for northeast, and Zoe's the area sales manager for the west. It’s been fun because we can draw from our past experiences and learn together. Setting an example for our team is important to us. We have a lot of functional partners and are looking for great communicators and collaborators…people that are comfortable working with others and who understand that they can't do everything by themselves.
Zoe: Teamwork and collaboration first and foremost. There are only a handful of reps, and about one hundred and forty five Hemophilia treatment centers. We can’t be in every place at once, so we need to be in sync across three regions. It’s really important that we show up to the community in an authentic and transparent way. This kind of openness and trust is a model for how I want to be with my team, and how I want to interact with the community of patients, caregivers, physicians, and advocacy groups.
Andre: Being that this is a new therapy for Genentech, it's really important for us to have a strong entry. This community is well informed, so we need to ensure that we're being as transparent as possible, and providing as much information to the community as we can. We have one chance to get it right, and we want to make sure we have those bright people in place to help with this mission.
